What an amazing accomplishment: 40 years of service , your three sons follow you onto the job, and you all get to work Dad’s final tour together! Outstanding. Wishing him a long, happy, and healthy retirement!B560EF84-9AD3-4A82-8771-737B40DC9A11.jpeg

This is what makes the FDNY so great! They recognize the veterans and they always display class as certain dates and events occur. From experience, I’ve seen people come and go with nothing happening. The rookie asks you to clean out your locker early on your last shift so he can move in!!! Respect and acknowledgment do mean something.

Looks like dad had the knob today 🔥🔥🔥

Great Riding List. A Classic. Wishing you Many Healthy and Happy Years ahead!!!

I'm just thankful that his last tour was uneventful. I could only imagine what would have happened if there was something catastrophic like a major apparatus accident, hazmat incident or even a backdraft - that could have possibly wiped out an entire family in one shot. They were lucky....the job was lucky. Frankly, I'm surprised that the 8th floor went along and approved this.
Congratulations Brother Thomas on a fantastic career. (you beat me by two!) May you enjoy as many years in retirement as you worked.
