Is Field comm staffed by firefighters or dispatchers? How is it staffed and where are they located?
 
In regards to the dispatcher staffing. Do assigned dispatchers leave the communications office when the unit is assigned or do they staff the station like a normal tour? Do the dispatchers have to work so many days in the center and a day at the unit per work week? And any other details anyone would like to throw also.
 
FC dispatchers are assigned there full time. They do not work in the CO at all.
 
Sprinter is Field Comm 2, used as a backup, special details, and things like that.
I do believe they still have the old MACK Field Comm that they use as a spare for the normal one.
