Save your quarters boys and girls. In early September I received a renewal notice for 38.00 We received a notice stating that would be refunded and the new rate is 69.95 for one year and 125.95 for 2 years. I have had a subscription since the beginning, not any more.

Yep. And they have slacked off on the FDNY coverage. The beginning of the end for that publication.

[XPFD3]

Has not been the same since JC sold the once outstanding magazine.

I've been friends with Jack C since before the start, and an original subscriber since Isssue #1. Agree with you both.

I subscribed for years but dropped when Chief Calderone sold the business.

Ya its still good but seems to cost more now per issue

[grumpy grizzly]

Mrs Grizzly is handling this for me. It seems I am not the only one complaining about the increase and no notification of it.

[truck4]

WOW.

[grumpy grizzly]

OK Mrs Grizzly was victorious! A program was supposed to change all renewals to 69.95 effective July but not all were changed due to a program glitch and sent out $38 renewals which is what I got. FAJ agreed to a 38 renewal for the upcoming year and 69.95 thereafter. So if you get the old rate and FAJ says it is 69 bucks fight it.

I found buying each issue seperate is cheaper

If you can find it.

I use to get mine at Barnes and Noble but it was hit or miss so I subscried

[Capttomo]

That’s an 84 percent increase. Thats worse than the inflation in Iran now.

[FDNY704]

https://www.fire-police-ems.com/books/faj-magazines.shtml They have it for $8.95 per Issue plus shipping it comes out to like $53.70 plus tax per issue for 6 issues. I just looked at it again and I see the September-October issue is now $11.95 an issue. I guess its no longer a good deal. There is no reason it should be more then 8 something and issue.

[baileyjeff]

I was about to re subscribe, is it worth it?

[CFDMarshal]

I just re-subscribed to both. I think the price is tied to the cost of new apparatus today!

Barnes and Noble, Union SQ, third floor I believe...

Received an e-mail from Vintage stating if I ordered "Coats of many colors" I would get a copy of "9-11, a 25th Anniversary Retrospective" FREE. Shouldn't those of us who pre-ordered the book (I did) get the same offer?
