Apparently, she was standing at the hydrant, while the engine was laying supply line for a fire, when the hose stuck on the engine pulling the hydrant clear.

Prayers for a full and speedy recovery The days of wrapping hydrants should end. The same exact thing happened in Fort Lauderdale about 6 years ago. The hydrant Ff can foot the hose against the hydrant with the coupling out front - if the hose breaks loose use the handi talki to stop the rig and reset. Or - they make straps that can be placed on the end of the hose and then loop the strap over the hydrant.
