I'd like to just take a moment to say, "THANK YOU" to "Capttomo" for posting all those pictures of firehouses, along with the companies, their nicknames, patches, locations, maps, and closest box number.

For me there is an entire collection of some of my favorite buffing/firehouse areas when I hung out there during some of the busiest years of fires in the history of the FDNY.

Thank you
Tom - GREAT JOB.

Thank You Willy for the kind words. Just a little fun project of gathering info from multiple sources and putting it all together and making it look pretty. Quite a bit of the info came from NYFD.com website that was created by the late Don Holt. The time and effort Don put into researching and providing info is nothing short of amazing. May he rest in peace. Throughout the day I have received replies from Tommyhal&Oat, 3511, Trac@1854, Cville7111, and Signal 73 providing me with some corrections, nicknames, and tips for improving the posts. I am grateful to all of these members for taking the time to assist. Obviously this will be a work in progress. Thanks to all and Happy New Year to all.
