Field Com is staffed. Responds to calls. MCCs are for prolonged incidents, special events, parades, etc

The MCCs are yk, Mobile Command Centers, a spot for chiefs to continue to control the scene especially while staying out of the elements. The Field Comm is for communications, especially between the fire ground and FDOC

In the late 80's, EMS, which was then under HHC, had a new MCC, which I believe was given to FD that did indeed have a "toilet" on board. I forget what type it was but it did not rely on water for flushing.

They have toilet but they were taken OOS as it’s a burn away so adless you want to smell piss….

Divisions and Field Com are the only ones with board. The Division boards don’t have every engine & ladder chip like the Field Com one. In the 3rd Alarm field com usually switches the board.

squad companies are the most versatile units in FDNY. I don’t know why they don’t have the TSU TAC units as their second piece that would be great. definitely need more of those.

well, the question is who gets paid more? squad company, hazmat or the rescue crew. i hope squad members get stipend for all hazards and disciplines.

All SOC get paid the same… but maybe the hazmat specialist might get alittle more…. Everyone is Hazmat Techs. Including Safety, Rescue, Hazmat, Marine Battalions

Confirmed everyone is SOC pay and paid the same…
