On the night of Sunday, August 28th, 2022, the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] for a fully involved detached garage fire with exposure issues on Scherer Boulevard off Mosefan Street. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation and were able to keep the fire from extending into any of the exposures. There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Franklin Square and Munson Chief of Department Joseph Gerrato [7100] had command of the incident.
