Airport is 10 minutes from our house. All Lee County fire departments responded to the scene of a brush fire that covered 15 acres and involved 100 cars in the rental car overflow area at Southwest Florida International Airport Friday. Fire departments from Collier and Charlotte counties also responded to the large-scale fire. Officials said there were no people in the cars, and the cause of the brush fire is unknown at this time. Investigators believe it?s likely something related to the cars. The Florida Forest Service said the fire was 95% contained as of about 9:30 p.m.

Units from every FD in Lee county were dispatched.  Units also dispatched from Charlotte county to the north, as well as Collier county to the south, Crash trucks at the airport.

Airport is about 15 minutes north of me off I 75.  I live in Bonita Springs
