I found a written up before, I think maybe in Fire Engineering. It may work if you have the loader already around but if you don't there are many other options that are much more cost-effective. Also, anyone who was ever driven a skid steer will tell you that having that much weight on the front of is going to make it very difficult to drive.

Which is why you never see skidsteers doing serious forklift work, even if they have the forks mounted. We had a skidsteer when we owned a tree company. It was really useful for hauling brush, but not for moving logs.
