At 0427 hrs CST this morning Houston FD responded to IAH Terminal C for a fire in an employee locker room. Terminal C is used only by United Airlines for their system national hub operations. This resulted in a ground stop into Houston for most of their domestic operations until about 0800 hrs. The entire first alarm units operated for several hours. The assignment is now down to airport and arson units. Luckily, most United flights from the East Coast don.t start arriving until after 0800hrs.

Airline officials say twenty-three flights were delayed Sunday morning after a fire broke out at IAH, leaving a smokey smell loitering in Terminal C.
