Years ago, a good friend's wife had inherited the largest ranch in Lee County, just outside of Giddings. For a while, the ranch manager was Frank Hamer, Jr. (who I met one time). Frank's father was , of course, Frank Hamer, Sr. the head lawman who shot Bonnie and Clyde in 1934.
