Hartford Cicrus Fire 1944On this

On this date was the Hartford Circus Fire which resulted in the death of approximately 169 people. It was in a tent 480 x 200 and covered nearly an acre. It started as a minor fire but because the tent had been dipped in parafin to make it waterproof it exploded into flames. This dateis known as "The days the clowns cried".
