Hi all, can anyone help me trace the history of a 1980 Mack Pumper still in service in Walden, Nova Scotia.

The only I.d. I was able to get was off the pump panel,
CF611F10
Pump #59415
Chassis #2071
Date 6/18/80

The best I've got so far was in service with E92, but if I reference pics of E92 circa 80's they show an ALF.
I'm going to write an article up for my blog www.smokeeaternation.tumblr.com
thanks for any help

This 1980 Mack CF pumper was from the 1979 order and E92 didn't have it until after 1986-89 when some companies that were not happy with their 1980 ALF's got 1979 Macks that came from companies that received new 1986 thru 89 rigs.

hey Guitarman,
Thanks for the reply, do you know who had it first ?? i'm not sure this rig ever served at 92 actually, I think that was bad info I was given.
I think 92 received an 86 Mack. Code 3 made a model of it.

The Mack model CF611F 1000 gpm pumper was classed by FDNY as a 1979 Mack, even though delivery on most of this order of a total of seventy-four units did not start coming in until 1980. The one with Mack chassis serial # 2071 carried FDNY registration # MP7942 and was assigned to Engine 93, NOT Engine 92. Engine 93 had it from 1980 until it was replaced by a 1987 Mack CF688F (Ward 79 body) 1000 gpm pumper in 1987. It was never actually assigned to any other company, either before or after Engine 93, but was probably used as a spare for a few years after leaving 93.

If a photo of it as FDNY Engine 93 would be helpful, try contacting the Mand Library at the FDNY Fire Academy, Randalls Island, NY 10035. The phone # there is 212-360-4413.
