Late on the morning of Friday, March 10th, 2023 the Hicksville Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire [reported smoke in the house] at a residence on Arrow Lane off Apollo Lane. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with smoke showing and found fire on the first floor of a two-story Levitt style home. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid requested. Hicksville Engine 937 was the first engine company to arrive on scene, put one hand line into operation, and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Hicksville Chief of Department Moskos [9301]. Text courtesy K2M Photography.
