Another world class thunderstorm just went through Houston. It tore down high voltage power lines from towers and landed across twelve lanes of freeway. HFD Rescue 11 cut them all with the gas saws and dragged them off. Traffic backed up for miles. For a while, you called 911 for the house fire, you got a third or fourth alarm engine. At one point they had 89 active incidents. I recorded for about 30 seconds a rain rate of 13inches/hour.
 
Lived there for 12 years, don’t miss the storms. Up here in the Northwest we got slow, gentle rumbles.
