"Residential Structure Fire in Kingspoint
On January 24 at 5:40 a.m., units from the James City County Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Archer Hope Drive in the Kingspoint subdivision. The occupants were awakened by the fire, exited the home safely, and called 911.
Crews arrived to find fire showing from the rear and roof of a two-story home. Firefighters initiated an exterior attack before moving inside to complete extinguishing the fire. Due to cold temperatures and wind conditions, additional crews responded to assist with fire suppression. The fire was brought under control at 6:30 a.m. The home is a total loss. No injuries were reported.
The Williamsburg Fire Department assisted on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the James City County Fire Marshal’s Office."
