Nice Work - Just A Minor Thing.. D7 5th Alarm Was Box 3462*.

According to our Fire Activity Reports for the year 2024, the busiest month for Brooklyn - Multiple Alarm Fires was .... April, 2024 and at that time they had 7 (Seven) Multiple Alarm Fires.

So far for January 2025 Brooklyn has had 12 (Twelve) Multiple Alarm Fires, surpassing the number of multiple alarms during any month of 2024.

Let's not forget, it has gotten extremely cold lately. Some don't have heat and are using various dangerous(heaters, stoves, etc) to stay warm.If it stays cold expect more multiples.OHi forgot to add, e-bikes still are an issue

Car 1, Commissioner Tucker has been responding to quite a few multiples since the beginning of January.

As luck would have it, I was listening to a podcast yesterday involving DAC John Norman (Ret.). The interviewer asked about periods of busy fire duty, and Chief Norman relayed that in November of 1989, when he was in Rescue 2, Brooklyn had a span of 31 multiple alarms in 21 days, including "12 to 14" 5th alarms.

The recent string of fire duty has been incredible by modern standards, but these numbers from the 1980s really puts things into perspective, especially when you consider that by all accounts Chiefs were much more reluctant to transmit multiple alarms in those days.
