In 1977 Jill Freedman (with text by Dennis Smith) published a photography book of her work in the South Bronx. After that she did similar work with the NYPD in Manhattan. She passed away in 2019 at age 79.
Now, there is an exhibition of her NYPD work through October at the Daniel Cooney Fine Art Gallery at 508 West 26th Street Suite 9C. Find it at wwwdanielcooneyfineart.com
