Yantic's 1891 Silsby Steam Fire Engine is back home as of today. Many thanks to Ray O'Connel and the Yantic Fire Engine Co #1 for giving us the opportunity to restore this unique steamer. If you're in the area, go see her
— in Norwich, Connecticut. Kathryn Krudewig Swift photo.

It's my understanding that Uncle Willy spent many hours riding the rear step of this beauty.

Thanks Ray.

Maybe I did ride that rig in my younger days but right now, "my mind just doesn't remember".

Was Micky Ds and White Castle around then ?

Could I go to the drive up window with that rig for a couple of Big Macs ?

I was just wondering.

But without a doubt, that is certainly a collectors rig that is owned by the Yantic FD.
