Lead story on the 4 PM tv news (Pa.) KME will be closing their plants in Pa. and Virginia by April of 2022. No word on how many employees will be affected by this. Any pending apparatus orders will be handled by other manufacturers.

If I may ask, how would the members rate the KME's? I am not trying to start a KME/Seagrave fight, but am curious as to how these engines hold up overall and what they feel are it's strength's and weakness's in FDNY service.

Edit: Sorry about missing jlab' post on this. Just found it after posting.

On this evening's tv news it was reported that 400 hundred employees will lose their jobs in Nesquehoning. Pa. Politicians are up in arms about the company not letting the employees know or making arrangements to help them.
