Retired Firefighter Donald Blaskovich (E-13) passed away. Though he retired almost 50 years ago, Donald was a fixture of the E-13, L-20 family. He lived in Massachusetts but at least twice a year he would come spend a weekend with L-20. He loved the 20 members and they loved him. Donald was the last survivor of the Wooster St. collapse which killed 2 firefighters and 4 fire patrolmen. His love for the #FDNY was inspiring. And the members of 20 truck from probies to senior men kept the tradition of taking care of our brothers and sisters alive. Rest easy Donald—job well done brother!

The Wooster Street fire occurred in 1958 and Engine 13 was disbanded in 1974.
