I found this picture while looking at some shots of the super pumper system, this is one of the old Mack 2000 gpm pumpers, note the roll up compartment doors on both sides, the custom tray for a pretty good size trash line on the front, a cross lay on top of the pump, and LARGE Diameter hose in the hose bed. Also interesting is how they divided the hose bed for the LDH. Thought it would be interesting to share as I my self never new fdny to carry LDH on a engine

Another thing that looks interesting on that drug is that it looks like it has to suction intakes on the front bumper.  One direct intake right in the middle and the gooseneck intake on the driver side.  I've never seen a setup like that before.

The one in the middle is a discharge, starting with these 2000gpm pumpers, any 2000gpm pumpers that were purchased had a large discharge in the front, the seagraves that replaced these had them on the drivers side bumper just like all the new engines, these engines were specifically designed to supply satellites and in line pumping with LDH, with the front discharge you don't take up as much of the road compared to running it off the side and can keep the hose straighter reducing friction loss.

I haven't seen any LDU on a pumper since this one. All new LDU is now 6" storz, except the 35' on the front bumper of the pumpers
