We regret to pass on that a Baton Rouge (Louisiana) Fire Captain has died in the Line of Duty.
Captain Walker Hill suffered a medical emergency while on duty Thursday, December 15th. He was immediately treated and transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital with a suspected CVA. Tragically, Captain Hill succumbed today, Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Captain Hill began his career with BRFD in 1998 and was promoted to the role of Captain in 2017. During his time of service, he received four lifesaving awards, two fire service excellence citations, and even helped to deliver a baby.
Please keep Captain Hill’s family and his Brother and Sister BRFD members in your thoughts and prayers. Captain Hill was an active member of IAFF Local 557, loved the job and was a beloved father, son, and brother. Our condolences
