Chicago's longest serving fire fighter Battalion Chief Jimmy O'Donnell will retire June 14 after 41 years on the job. His retirement is mandatory after reaching his 63rd birthday. After 9-11 Chief O'Donnell led a group of Chicago fire fighters to assist the members of FDNY in those dark days.

I wish Chief O'Donnell a very HAPPY and HEALTHY "well deserved" Retirement.

Thank You Chief for your dedicated years of service to the City of Chicago.

God Bless, Chief O'Donnell and best wishes for many years of healthy and happy retirement. I hope your years of experience will continue to be passed on to future generations of those who serve.
