Does any one know what else was housed with Engine 91 on East 111st St because i noticed they have 3 Bays. Is one for the Rac Units and one maybe to park cars??
 
Engine 91 had a 2nd section that was finally disbanded in 1974. Ladder 43 which was moved & Division 4 which was moved and disbanded.

Back in the Fifties.......the 1st  bay from the left had ENG*91......the 2nd bay had a reserve Ladder & DIV*4....then a wall with LAD*43 on the other side of the wall on the right......they had separate kitchens .....there was an opening in the housewatch which was shared as well as a doorway on the 3rd floor......in the late '60 s the reserve Ladder was gone but 91 had 2 sections.....after LAD*43 moved into the new (present quarters w/ENG*53 & the then DIV*4 since disbanded  & the Medical Officers Duty car).....91 was by themselves on their side....the openings were closed & a fire salvage unit occupied the old Truck side until the salvages were disbanded in '90.....after that the fire Marshalls were in the old Truck side.....after they moved i am not sure what is in there now ....possibly a RAC unit.
