Incident Location: 80 Shell Street
The Massapequa Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire with people possibly within on Shell Street off Roosevelt Boulevard in East Massapequa. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with fire on the number four side of a two-story private dwelling and all occupants safely evacuated. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid requested. Firefighters stretched two hand lines, put at least one of those hand lines into operation, and were able to keep the fire from extending further into the residence. There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Massapequa Assistant Chief Zimmerman. (Text Credit K2M)
