Massive fire in town of Leeuwarden The Netherlands

One person lost his live in this fire age 24, the police did spoke him on his cellphone but they could not get to him because of the flames and smoke.
Five shops and appartments were destroyd in the fire wich were almost bild of wood.
In almost one hour all these buildings were on fire.

Thanks for posting this stuff Berend. Was in Amsterdam a few years ago and spoke to a bunch of the guys in a couple of stations. Good dudes. Real interesting stuff.
 
Update, The young man who was bin killed in the fire in Leeuwarden is seen by the firemen. The man was in a closed courtyard but the firemen could not reach him. The man was not killed by flames but by the smoke.
The firemen are verry sad that they could do nothing for him.
The most people who lived there were students.
They lost everything in the fire, a lot of people in Leeuwarden come into action for al kind of stuff
Wich they will need now at most.
Last news at television now, the fire was started by changing a gas botle wich was used for a heather.
The man who worked in the store run out and called 112 (911).
