Mobile command centre?

Today, at 09:23 NYC time, manhattan sent details of an EMS run on Central Park West at W77st, to Mobile Command. Is  the MCC set up in Upper West Side for a reason or are they actually attending an ems run???

Anything inside the zone of operation is passed on to MCC so they can get a bus over there. They usually set up for big special events such as this or the St. Paddy's day parade. It's a challenge at times to move companies around/modify assignments if it hits the fan.
