This is what the 3 side of the fire building looked like prior to this afternoon's fire View attachment 46600
Not to be nitpicky, but your pic is over by the green x. The fire unit was a few houses up in a different row. It was a great stop. First dues did great work keeping it contained. Fire started 1st fl apt (ground floor) spread into open web truss in the ceiling and started burning thru the flooring of the 2nd fl. Kept it contained to the 1st & 2nd and no lateral spread to exposure units, with extensive overhaul in the 1st fl apt. Very typical (what I call) "mutant" construction for us... Nothing is uniform and expect the unexpected.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes I agree that it was a good stop. I listened to it on the fireground tac channel from about 10 minutes into the job on. Sounded like a well run solid operation. Happy Thanksgiving

Thanks bxengine for sharing that update. Glad to see RPD make an arrest. Monsey has a well equipped and well trained fire department that sees a significant amount of fire duty compared to many other Rockland departments…. Happy holidays.
