The LODD of a Mt Vernon Firefighter is now confirmed.

  Not many details at this time, but my condolunces to the family and friends and to the members of the Mt Vernon, NY Fire Dept. May he Rest in Peace.

  This in addition to the Wocester, Mass Firefighter LODD.

  Very sad day for the Fire Service.
 
A very sad day indeed. Rest in peace, brothers. Condolences to the FDMV and WFD, their families, and friends.
 
LODD are always tough, but worse during the holidays. CFD had the same situation within the last few years. RIP our brothers. :( :( :( :( :(
 
The Mt Vernon LODD was Firefighter Kevin Townes age 54 who died of an apparant heart attack while fighting an early morning house fire. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
 
Thoughts and prayers to the families of both Fallen Firefighters, R.I.P. Brothers. Thoughts and support for the collegues of the fallen.
