Fire at Nashville (TN) Fire Station Being Used as a Teaching Moment

The firefighters rushed back to their own firehouse, to find flames shooting out of the roof and the kitchen engulfed in flames.

In Ken Little's Chicago Fire Department history of Engine Company 99 located at 3042 S. Kedvale Ave, he notes they had two fires. There was a minor fire on 3/4/1995 and burn out on 6/12/1976 (while they were at a 2-11 on S. Cicero Ave) which required relocation to Engine 109 until 12/22/1976.

Ken quotes a neighbor; "I've lived here for twenty-five years and we've only had two fires in this block and both have been in the firehouse."
