DA seeking outsider to lead probe into death of State Police recruit

Worcester's DA has jurisdiction over the investigation but said he has a conflict of interest because Delgado-Garcia previously worked as a victim witness advocate in his office.

Trooper Delgado-Garcia was sworn and his badge pinned as MA State Trooper while he lay in his hospital bed on life support.
May he rest in peace.
The Governor of MA. just hired/appointed (10/01/24) a new Colonel from NJSP to take lead of this agency. First time in MSP history outsider was chosen.
For the past handful of years there has been almost monthly scandals. From Federal investigations, including arrests to ongoing grand jury testimony.
The new Colonel had his hands full taking this position, with the death of Trooper Delgado-Garcia he may get to the MA state line and turn around.
