That article is so full of propaganda it's hard to believe in freedom of the press. If there are any real journalists out there please do your own investigating and don't believe a thing that comes out of City Hall.
All being "under one roof" means is that we're 1 target instead of the 7 we used to have. Communications (or should I say lack thereof) hasn't changed. We're still 3 services using 3 different CADS. The only difference now is that we're sharing 1 bathroom.
Perhaps some of you will remember back to 1968 when PD moved all of their boro communications offices to 240 Centre Street which at the time was PD headquarters. They had just changed over from the old "440-1234" phone number to the Federally mandated "911". This place was supposed to be the creme de la creme. Well, anytime something happened to the phone or computer lines it was load everyone up and report to the old boro comm's until the condition is corrected. And as 347 mentioned it was and is putting everybody at a single target. It seems that money talks and common sense is just not common. Anyone agree??
Once again a lot of b'bags line of crap backfilled by his lackies......the previous system worked .....if it ain't broke don't fix it.....UNLESS you want to enhance your cronies bank account !
Try calling 311 to get anything in this town. Then, start hitting yourself in the head. See which one is more painful. Yes, you guessed it, calling 311.
