If anybody has a picture of the new fuel truck on a Mack chassis and the old one please post
Thanks
Thanks
I think many of us really love those old Mack cabs! Where I grew up in upstate New York there was nothing but Mack for fire apparatus up until the late 70s. All engine companies, as well as most truck companies and rescue companies run Mack chassis. 1st firetruck I ever drove was a 56 Mack which is still probably the favorite truck I ever drove. Huge steering wheel, open top cab (rather cold in the winter) 2 speed rear end in a semi-synchronized transmission that you had a double clutch all the time! I really loved driving up and we got a call on I-90 and I could let it wind up.68jk09 said:Out of the three my vote goes to the older Mack Bulldog Cab in Mike M's picture but then again i am drawn to those cab styles....i'm sure Willy knows why.
It really doesn't look like it is a rotator, it sets too low in the body and it doesn't have the underbody outriggers that rotators have. I'm guessing it's probably a 50 ton or possibly a 60 ton rated boom.jks19714 said:Does anyone have an idea of the capacity of that rotator?
