New Rearmount order

If anyone has driven the 01/02 Rear-mount Seagrave spares, compared to the newer Ferraras do those rigs seem to go faster? They got Detroit Diesel Engines in them compared to I believe all the newer rigs are running Cummins.
I have driven trucks for a living for many years, and both the Detroit, and Cummins diesels run about the same as for as speed depending on the axel ratio. However, Caterpillar diesels run like rabbits on an open highway. The DD series 60 has a flaw of drinking a lot of oil especially in trucks and buses. Not so sure about fire apparatus. Caterpillar no longer makes engines for commercial use except for their CT660 vocational truck. The Cummins diesel seems to be a favorite with many truck buyers, as well as bus companies.

Supposedly the Cummins are lighter in weight, slightly quieter, slightly cooler, and use much less oil (on the floor underneath the rig)

Yes, l'm getting panicky about them again :unsure:.

32 Trucks New Rearmount was delivered back in January I believe, then they sent it back to Seagrave because there were problems with it.(still is not back in service) No other Seagrave Rearmounts have been delivered to my understanding.

This was sent to me. Not sure of the origin of the photo. It’s one of our rigs being driven to Jersey last week for delivery.
