Why is it they block out the identifying markings on some rigs but not others?

L055 (SL 25009) would be next (last of 2012's).. than the 2013's. Nothing official yet, I will definitely update when I have it.

I feel like blocking the markings it’s just like blurring a middle finger, everyone knows what is under there, what’s the point of covering it up?

Yea, Everyone knows it's FDNY obviously. I would imagine it's part of the contract that the identifiers must be covered until rig is delivered.

80 got theirs a while ago. Maybe they just got it back from a spare but they have had it for a few months

Maybe it has to do with suggested liability until actually delivered to the FDNY in NY ?

That's my guess. Technically its still owned by Seagrave or the dealer until FDNY signs the acceptance paperwork.
