Newport News VA Barge Fire 10/27/22

Fire on a barge in the James River caused problems for the Newport News FD late Thursday night, as there was no access to the barge from land. Newport News Marine 1 was used to supress the fire, while Marine 2 (a Zodiac) was used to ferry crews to the barge. The Coast Guard assisted.

That was a very expensive fire for the contractor, that Crane is worth well over $1 million.
