I don't get it. Uncle Wilfred would travel to any boro to see apparatus responding - to anything. He would go to anywhere to see a working fire - 24/7 - anywhere. He would travel all over the country to take a picture at a fire - any city or state. But now he tells us he can't go down the block to see a fire in his own hamlet. What's going on?

"EMSR2" - see what you started. :)

Joe, "mack", I've asked myself that question too.

What has changed over those last 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 years of chasing fires ? From riding my bicycle and following the smoke and sirens in Bridgeport, to those years of running down the streets with camera and scanner in hand in parts of NYC, Providence, or Boston.

I think this kind of tells my story.
