Years ago I knew a few guys from the New Jersey area. We buffed Providence, R.I. together on a few Fourth of July's and stayed at a Motel 6 in Warwick, R.I. They would buff N.J. and Boston too. I think I gave them a tour of Bridgeport once. One guy was a firefighter in Springfield, N.J. named Tom Ernest. The other two guys were brothers. One, named Walter, was a police officer in Irvington, N.J. His brother, named Bobby, was a battalion chief in Elizabeth F.D. They had a pretty long last name that started with "P". They gave me the Newark tour one time. Anybody know if these guys are still around.
I was really into buffing, but these guys put me to shame. They knew statics for cities and who was doing what. We had some good buffing days together back then. (maybe in the 80s).
