Paramedics taken on wild ride in back of stolen ambulance

A few FDNY Rigs (ENG*s & BN*s & Comm & Shop Rigs have been stolen over the years that i remember....some just for a short joy ride & some completly stripped for parts BUT never any w/Members still aboard.

  I remember some fool from Alphabet City took Ladder 3's 1960 ALF tiller for a joy ride back in the late '60's.
 
This is my son in laws department but was not in his batt. Reported to be a mentally disturbed person!
 
One of the Harlem battalions - back in the early 1970s.  A probie on housewatch heard the chief's vehicle start up, figured that they were going to make their rounds, ran out into the street and stopped traffic, waved the vehicle out, never looked to see who was in the car, and went back to housewatch.  Chief had a run a short time later.  Discovered vehicle was stolen for a joy ride.
