Park Drive in Bronx

Quick question, for this one street in the Bronx which is only accessible by going into Pelham, who responds FDNY or Pelham fire?

Box 4508 Park Dr & Peace St is FDNY
Box 4470 Park Dr & Oak Ln is FDNY

So yes I believe FDNY could be a dual box too

Those bronx border boxes are now - 6600# series boxes.

If you hear a 6600 box - 6601, 6602, 6603, etc. - there are about 6 or 7 or so - that's what is called a "Dual Response Box with Pelham Manor FD".

Not to be confused with Park Drive that connects the City Island Traffic Circle with Orchard Beach Road and the roadways inside Orchard Beach on the perimeter of the parking lot and taxi stand. Also the in the 4500 series boxes. 70/53 ??

I believe Pelham Manor responds as well and is dispatched by 60 Control. PMFD has been first due to several jobs over the years on that block. Quite the contrast to have the PMFD respond with 2 & 1 and a total of 4 guys on duty then being backed up by the FDNY.

Not to hijack the thread, I was actually shocked when I heard about the staffing in Pelham Manor. It’s not like the town is financially strapped so I can’t understand why they would opt for the current staffing model and continue to roll the dice hoping that nothing bad happens.

And what is the staffing on their rigs?

60 Control is the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services Emergency Communications Center (ECC).

Initial alarm is 1 Engine and 1 Truck with a Chief.

One the Engine are 3 firefighters. 1 officer, the driver and 1 other firefighter.

Ladder has a firefighter who drives the rig to the scene solo.
