Philadelphia fire department to restore companies

Dated October 10th 2023 local Philadelphia news reports that the city of Philadelphia is going to receive a 22.4 million grant to restore 3 companies closed in 2009 . It brings to my heart to read a story like this

Engine 6, @ Belgrade & Huntingdon in Fishtown with Ladder 16.
Ladder 1, @ 16th & Parrish in North Philadelphia with Engine 13.
Ladder 11, @ 12th & Reed in South Philadelphia with Engine 10.
These are the last three companies that were placed OOS in the 2009 fiscal crisis to return to service. Word is Mayor Kenney, who is done in January, 2024 wants the companies back up and running before he walks out the door. Mayor Kenney's father was a PFD Battalion Chief.
