This may have been the best cab that I sat in during the conference. Great layout and field of vision. Much more room in the officers seat than others.

I agree, but the problem is that in some rural areas you need to carry 1000 gallons of water. Since you want to keep a short wheel base, the only place to put that tank is high which in turn raises the height of your hose bed. In a perfect world every area would have hydrants every 100' and all hose beds would be nice and low.
