If anybody knew what that triangular shaped Ext on the back of the cab is for? It's really strange looking to say the least.

Rig has a top mounted pump panel enclosed within the air conditioned cab. The manufacturer extended the cab up and over the top mounted pump panel. Several structural pumpers in areas like Minnesota were built like that as well over the years by various manufacturers

So basically pick your ugly. Actually that is a fantastic industrial rig. Having been involved in designing and buying two industrial rigs, this one is the cutting edge of volume pumpers. Nice rig.

Looks like the piping and nozzles have been done by local talent- Williams Fire and Hazard Control. Remember Red Adair's first rule of wild-well firefighting. "First, round up a whole bunch of water!"

That is what we spec'd on both of ours. E-One at the time was the exclusive builder with Williams. We hung a 3000 gpm off the tip of a ladder and they hadn't built one when they bid it! Crazy how far it has come.

You can just picture a couple of good old boys designing that. Sounds like Boeing engineers drawing out the concept for the 747 or Herb Kelleher with the business plan for Southwest Airlines. Done with an ink pen in dim lighting on a cocktail napkin.
