Today after All Hands Box 3842 I stopped by 63/39 Quarters because I knew they're would be Relocations there , Today it was 46 acting 63 & 47 acting 39 , I know 47 & 56 go there often if they catch a Job , but who else is a common relocator there ? Because I know some companies get relocated to the same houses often. Thanks.

In the old days it was always L46 to L39. Relocators to E63 were mostly E81 and anything else was E42 & E43

It seemed like L46 was always sent to L39 but that was when L46 had tillers, since the became a TL they do not relocate to L39, heard stories of how they used to have to open rear windows on apparatus floor to allow the 1955FWD wooden tiller rear section to protrude out or as legend has it the window was broken a few times. Today it seems like L38,59,56,47 and others are used to cover L39, L34 has on occasion also been sent up there. Since move to E63 these same companies still relocate to L39.

In my days as a boss in the Bronx, it was just about anyone who was fair game, but it was always a rear mount. 27,37, depending on why 39 was out, 38,48,49,56,59. I tended not to move 47 because of how large of an area they covered.
Same thing with the Engines, but usually 45,48,88,75,82,79 depending on what 63 was doing,43,68.

I always looked at it from the standpoint of who could get there quickly, and without a lot of hassle depending on time of day. Perfect example, 49 to 39. At 4 in the afternoon, no way. 4 in the morning, straight and fast run right up the Deegan.

Thanks guys , that makes a lot of cents 150 , and Mac , I've seen 34 there one timeshare A pic of it it was at an MVA on the bronx river on the city line , they are on my Flickr account .

Did a few details up there. Its true about thr window in the rear and the ladder going out it. But it have a woodwn canapy over it to protect it from weather.

49 Truck went up there today 150 , I saw them coming up 233rd when I was going to the Job , Them and An Engine Company with A Marauder couldn't catch they're number.

Lad 27 was one of the last tillers in the Bronx & they would go right up Webster Ave to the Woodlawn station.
