Rescue 6

Rescue 6 aka The Spirit of Oklahoma is being removed from service. It's currently at the Rock being stripped. I wish I could've taken a picture of it last winter, when I saw it at the Fort Totten still in service.

Of all the things they could have done, stripping it down was not one of them. Why not Donate it to a Museum as a token of good faith from the people of Oklahoma , to a City in dire need at the time. Not something I am appreciating right now.

agreed, but if the city can make a buck from it, they'll do it. Sad though, that thing probably saw more miles than most trucks in the city.
