Reserve/Spare apparatus

There is a FB page on Seagrave apparatus that shows Engine 307 using Reserve Engine 500, x- E-241, as its apparatus. I thought the Reserve apparatus fleet was just that, and not a part of the spare pool. Running out of spares occasionally?

No they would get a spare. Reserved rigs aren't meant to be used as spares

GG my guess as you said would be they are running out of spares

Reserve apparatus are used for several different reasons. In the case of E307 they have a WTC funeral so MBC coordinates with shops and loans the company a reserve apparatus fully stocked so their rig can be prepped and used for the funerals to honor those members.
