Lt. Jack Meara's last tour was today after 41.5 years. Appointed January 1982, assigned to Eng67. Promoted to Lieutenant in August 1995 & assigned to Eng46 in April 1996, where he served the Cross Bronx Express for the past 27 years. Great job Jack. Enjoy retirement!

One of the most respected Officers on this job. Have known Jack since we were kids and we attended same high school. Well deserved retirement and wishes for health and wellness. For those who don’t know Jack’s dad was one of the original founders of the burn center when it formed. His younger brother Tom a Battalion Chief also just recently retired.
