It is with deep regret the Department announces the death of Captain Luke M. Lynch, Engine Company 201 who succumbed to his WTC related illness on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Captain Lynch served our great department for 34 Years; additionally Capt. Lynch was a veteran of the Navy having served in the Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughters: Jonianne, Lisa & Erin Lynch; brothers: Drew, Connor, Greg & Mark; as well as several extended family and friends.

One of the FFs in my BN, FF Chris Pickford LAD*136 was on Rotation to ENG*201 & was working in 201 on 9-11 & was KIA alongside the other working Members of 201 .....every 9-11 since then 201 has NOT FORGOTTEN splitting their Members on 9-11 to attend the Members different Graveside Memorials.....on the 9-11 Anniversaries my FH 287 / 136 / BN*46 first attend the Mike Cawley Gravesite at St Mary's Cemetery in Flushing QNS then we immediately go to the Chris Pickford Gravesite at Maple Grove Cemetery in Forest Hills QNS...their Families attend the respective Gravesites for Prayers & a Eulogy & some Bagpipe Music.....even though 201 has much ground to cover on the 9-11 anniversaries & Chris Pickford was a Rotator in 201 they always maintain a strong presence led by CPT Luke Lynch & the Emerald Isle Brothers.
