Another very sad loss for the FDNY.
Firefighter Derek C., Floyd at only 36 years old, having four years with the department and also eight years serving Our Country with the USMC.

We ask WHY - but none of us have that answer.

Once again my condolences to FDNY Firefighter Derek C, Floyd family and friends, as well as to the members of the FDNY on this very sad loss.

I thought that another heart attack was a complication of a heart attack. If the initial heart attack was sustained in the line of duty, why wouldn't the second event be part of the first- regardless of when it happened?
